Bathroom Addition

As an addition to the top floor of this rowhome, we were challenged with an exterior wall with less than desirable sight lines to dense housing beyond, a sloped ceiling/roof assembly, and a compact square footprint. We decided to embrace the sloped ceiling and focus on maximizing the volume of the space with a tile floor that extends into the shower and a large, statement custom vanity.

The vanity was fabricated with flat cut walnut with powder-coated steel trim and composite concrete integral sink top. Gray-green fish scale tile was selected for the shower with the remaining finishes neutral in color. An existing double-hung window above the toilet was removed and replaced with a high linear window to maximize privacy.
