Fairmount Rowhouse Renovation

In this rowhouse renovation, existing first floor kitchen cabinetry was salvaged and refreshed as part of the new design. New cabinetry was fabricated to match and was installed adjacent to the existing layout to extend storage and counter space back to the house's exterior wall.

All millwork was painted slate blue and fitted with new satin brass hardware for an upscale pop of contrast. Polished white quartzite was selected for countertops and paired with textured white ceramic wall tile. Walnut and brass shelves were installed as a decorative display area for the client's curated collection. Dishwasher, undermount sink, and pull-out trash and recycling cabinet drawers were integrated at the new island.
Existing yellow oak wood floors on the first floor were refinished with a darker walnut color. A simple custom dining table and benches were fabricated for the breakfast nook area next to sliding doors leading to an outdoor garden. â€‹

An existing powder room on the first floor was renovated and tucked behind a new sliding pocket door. A simple green wall-mounted vanity with a white acrylic integral sink top and charcoal fossil-patterned tile flooring was selected for this space. All fixture shapes, wall sconces, vanity, toilet, etc., were kept as simple geometric forms against the saturated, vibrant jungle wall covering all walls.
